Suggested visits : If you're passionate about history and tradition, start your trip with a visit to Seoul's five great palaces: Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Changgyeonggung, Deoksugung and Gyeonghuigung, true jewels of the Joseon dynasty, which have now become major historical symbols of the city.

Treat yourself to a moment of serenity at the great sanctuary of Jongmyo, before continuing your discovery in the peaceful alleyways of Bukchon Hanok Village, an emblematic district where traditional houses stand side by side with craft workshops.

Next, let yourself be charmed by the Insadong district, a famous traditional market where you can find all kinds of Korean handicrafts: ceramics, traditional clothes, Korean paper and other authentic objects. A stone's throw away, the Ikseon-dong district invites you to take a break in one of its many unusual cafés, nestling in old hanoks (traditional Korean accommodation).

Shopping enthusiasts, indulge in the Myeongdong district, a true paradise for Korean cosmetics lovers. For a more upscale experience, head to the chic streets of Gangnam. Don't miss the Starfield COEX Mall, perfect for a shopping spree. Also, take a tour of the Yongsan Electronics Market, a small tech haven with nearly 3,000 shops dedicated to computing, sound, image, and video games.

Sightseeing suggestions:

A true cultural gem of South Korea, Jeonju blends past and present in a captivating harmony. The city is known as one of the birthplaces of Korean cuisine. Try bibimbap, a bowl of rice topped with various ingredients such as sautéed vegetables, beef, or kimchi.

Take a photo break at one of the city's locations used as a filming set for the series Twenty-Five Twenty-One! Stroll through the hanok districts amidst traditional Korean houses, and visit Jaman Mural Village where you will find numerous paintings along the small alleys.

Visit Jeonju Confucian School founded during the Joseon dynasty, then explore Gyeonggijeon Shrine, which holds the only portrait in South Korea of the founder of the Joseon dynasty.

Visit Suggestions: Located in the southeast of South Korea, Suncheon is primarily known for its vast salt marsh, a nature reserve home to several hundred bird species, showcasing the region's biodiversity in all seasons. Stroll through the immense reed field, or take to the heights to admire the bay. The city also hosts the Suncheon National Garden, a vast botanical garden that houses a multitude of plant species and themed gardens, beautifully illuminated at nightfall. To reach Suncheon Bay from the garden, you can take the Skycube, a small autonomous train that overlooks the marshes.

The city also has a filming studio you can visit: Suncheon Drama Filming, where several Korean dramas set in the towns and villages of the 50s-70s were filmed. You can also venture out of the city to discover the Nagan Folk Village and its thatched-roof houses.

Suggestions for visits: The districts of Itaewon and Hongdae are perfect for enjoying the city's electric atmosphere once night falls. Lively cafes, bars, clubs, live music or karaoke… there's something for everyone. And for food lovers, you can't resist Korean barbecue: grilled meats at the table, accompanied by their essential banchans, small side dishes for a true feast. Head to the various night markets in the city, including the famous Myeongdong night market where you can find culinary delights to enjoy outdoors for a convivial and unforgettable evening.

Suggested visits: Take in the heights from the N Tower, an iconic monument offering an exceptional panoramic view of the city, before descending to walk along part of the majestic Seoul city wall. On the culinary side, traditional markets such as Gwangjang Market and Namdaemun Market are must-visits to taste local specialities like bibimbap, kimchi, or tteokbokki.

Suggestions for visits: If you're looking for a more unusual side of Seoul, head to Seongsu, a vibrant district known for its trendy cafes, local shops, and reimagined industrial vibe. Stroll along the Cheonggyecheon River, which gently winds through the heart of the city, or discover the futuristic architecture of the Dongdaemun Design Plaza. Make a detour to Lotte World, a vast entertainment complex in the heart of Seoul, before discovering the city's tallest tower: the Lotte Tower.

Your accommodations

During the tour, you will be accommodated for 8 nights in the following accommodations (or similar):

  • Seoul: 6 nights at the Venue G Seoul 3-star hotel
  • Jeonju: 1 night in a Hanok Gaeunchae 1 or 2 (traditional Korean house)
  • Suncheon: 1 night at the Hound Hotel or Suncheon Hotel Gite

Your pension

During this tour, you will be accommodated with breakfast included, except for the night in a hanok in Jeonju and the night in Suncheon.

ACCOMMODATION

As part of this offer, you will stay in standard rooms in 3* hotels in Seoul and Busan. In Suncheon, you will stay in a 2* (local standards) hotel or motel. In Jeonju, you will stay in a Hanok (traditional Korean accommodation).

Check-in is usually mid-afternoon (3pm-4pm).

Minimum occupancy: 1 person / Maximum occupancy: 2 people (2 adults or 1 adult and 1 child).

Age of children: 2 - 11 years.

Babies not permitted.

The accommodation included in this trip is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.

Any specific request concerning the type of bed (double/separate beds) or any other request or special condition concerning accommodation (e.g. single room) is subject to availability and may incur a supplement.

For technical reasons, hotels may be replaced by similar accommodation and stages may be reversed.

Please note that in South Korea, hotel rooms are often quite narrow and beds small.

In traditional Korean hostels (Hanok), rooms and bathrooms are small. It is common for entire bathrooms to be used as showers, and for there to be no cubicles or curtains for washing. Futons can be quite thin. As the accommodation is old, the partitions may be thin, so please be fairly quiet.

Please note that some hotels offer an eco-stay package (bed linen and room cleaning are carried out approximately every 3 days, depending on the establishment).

If, due to airline schedules, the first or last day is shortened by a late arrival or an early departure, no refund will be given.

Similarly, any meal included in the board package that cannot be taken because of these timetables cannot be reimbursed.

Also, depending on the timetable of any optional extras and excursions, any meals that cannot be taken at the hotel will be charged to the customer.

TRANSPORT

A copy of your passport is compulsory following your reservation to book rail transport in South Korea.

Limousine bus transfer Incheon airport (ICN) - city centre - Incheon airport (ICN) in Seoul: The Limousine bus (public transport) runs between the airport and the city centre. The stops closest to your accommodation will be given to you in your travel pack. The connection between the limousine bus stop and your accommodation is often made on foot, but can also be made by metro or bus depending on the location of your hotel. In Seoul, this service is subject to

- Arrival at Incheon ICN airport between 5.00am and 9.00pm.

- Departure from Incheon ICN airport between 9:00 am and 7:00 pm.

Outside these times, transfers are at your own expense. A private transfer supplement may be available. If you arrive at Gimpo GMP airport, transfers will be at your own expense.

Train Seoul - Jeonju - Suncheon - Seoul: The train in South Korea is the ideal way to travel around the country. Jeonju is around 2 hours from Seoul, and Suncheon around 1 hour from Jeonju. The return journey between Suncheon and Seoul takes around 3 hours. Please note that train timetables will be provided in your travel pack.

The T-money card: The T-money is a travel card that you can use to pay for your journeys on the metro, bus or taxi, and also to pay in certain shops. Your card will be pre-loaded with KRW 30,000 so that you can make your various journeys. You can also top up your card with cash from a top-up terminal in metro stations or supermarkets.

If you are travelling alone, you will be asked to pay a surcharge for a single room. This additional charge will be automatically included in your quote.
Child rates will be applied for children from 2 to 12 years old in the case where the child shares the room with two adults. If the child is travelling with just one adult, the surcharge may be applied on an adult basis. If your child or children do not fit into the age group mentioned above, the rate will be communicated to you at the time of processing your order. If the room is equipped with a bunk bed, the bed height is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
For safety reasons, the wellbeing facilities of most establishments are not accessible to children under 16 years old. Similarly, it is possible that some amenities or services require an additional charge or are unavailable for exceptional reasons.

Once your reservation has been made, you will receive a confirmation e-mail before your travel documents are sent.
Regarding the transport documents (in the case of a reservation with transport included), we will provide you with all the information relating to check-in and luggage in the "Your travel documents" email, allowing you to leave with peace of mind.
To take advantage of all your reserved services (hotels, transfers, activities, etc.), you will receive one or more exchange vouchers to be presented to each supplier.

Transportation

In order to best organise your time in the airport, we advise that you arrive 2 hours before boarding for a medium-haul flight, or 3 hours before boarding for a long-haul flight (more than 5 hours). Take advantage of your early arrival to pass through security and check your luggage.
You will be informed whether or not luggage is included at the time of your booking.
You will have the opportunity to add additional luggage for a fee.
There are several different cities that are typically offered as departure points. Your arrival destination will show in your travel documents.
Depending on the flight schedule, some arrivals or returns may be made at night with early arrival or late departure. You will not always be able to have your room available immediately and will need to refer to the check-in and check-out conditions of the hotel.
In the event that your transfer is not included in your hotel reservation, it may be offered at the time of your reservation as an additional option. Unless specifically mentioned, transfers may be made in groups of 15 to 55 people.
