Depending on your arrival time, you can then set off to explore the city.
Dinner at leisure and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 2: PALERMO
Breakfast included.
Day and other meals at leisure.
Suggested itinerary: you can start your day with a visit to the magnificent cathedral, before continuing on to the Royal Palace, also known as the "Palace of the Normans". Built by the Arabs in the 10th century, it was later extended by the Normans and Spanish. Here, you can visit the Palatine Chapel.
Lunch at leisure before heading to Monreale to visit the cathedral and the magnificent cloister, a masterpiece of Byzantine and Arab-Norman art.
Then, drive to Monte Pellegrino to visit the sanctuary of Santa Rosalia, the patron saint of Palermo.
Finish the day in Mondello with a stroll and an authentic Sicilian ice cream.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 3: FROM PALERMO TO AGRIGENTO
Breakfast included.
Day and other meals at leisure.
Suggested itinerary: discover the magnificent Valley of the Temples, which was built in the 5th century BC and is now recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 4: AGRIGENTO AND SYRACUSE
Breakfast included.
Day and other meals at leisure.
Suggested itinerary: head for the Syracuse area.
In the afternoon, discover this ancient Greek colony, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The archaeological site dates back to the 5th century BC and features a Greek theatre, a Roman amphitheatre, the Altar of Hiero II and the Latomia del Paradiso.
Then head to Ortigia's historic centre to see the Temple of Apollo, the Duomo (an important Baroque church built on an ancient temple) and the Aretusa fountain.
If you have time, we recommend continuing on to Noto, the capital of Sicilian Baroque and known as the "garden of stones". Here, you can admire the beauty of the churches, the Santa Chiara convent and the cathedral, which was destroyed by earthquakes and magnificently rebuilt.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 5: HISTORICAL EXCURSION TO RAGUSA AND MODICA
Breakfast included.
Day and other meals at leisure.
Suggested itinerary: another intense day discovering the final flowering of Baroque art in Europe! The cities of Ragusa and Modica were destroyed by a terrible earthquake in 1693, radically changing the Sicilian landscape as the cities were rebuilt according to the principles of late Baroque architecture.
Visit Ragusa Ibla, one of Italy's most important art cities thanks to its artistic and archaeological treasures.
Then continue to Modica, a city renowned for its churches and cathedral, as well as being the Italian capital of chocolate!
Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 6: VISIT TAORMINA, THEN ON TO CATANIA
Breakfast included.
Day and other meals at leisure.
Suggested itinerary: while travelling to Catania, why not visit Taormina? This real gem of a town offers incredible views of the sea and Mount Etna. Take the time to stroll through the narrow streets and visit the Greek theatre.

DAY 7: EXCURSION TO MOUNT ETNA

Suggested itinerary: spend an intense day exploring Mount Etna, Europe's highest active volcano, which reaches 3,345 metres. You can reach an altitude of 1,800 metres at the Sapienza refuge, where the 'Crateri Silvestri' craters are visible. The variety of flora is splendid, as are the magnificent lunar landscapes along the way. Over the centuries, the volcano has created a unique place where nature, culture and history come together in harmony.
You may take the cable car or a 4x4 bus to get up to 2,800 metres.
