Travel Formalities for U.S. Travelers to Spain (with clickable URLs)
1. Identity Documents / Passport
U.S. citizens must travel with a valid U.S. passport.
The passport should be valid for at least three months beyond the intended departure from the Schengen area.

2. Visa / Entry Authorization / Length of Stay
- No visa is required for U.S. citizens for short stays (tourism, business) up to 90 days within a 180-day period.

3. Health / Vaccination Requirements
- No mandatory vaccinations are required for entry for most travelers.
- It’s wise to stay up to date on routine vaccines (MMR, Tdap, flu).
- As of now, no COVID-19 test, vaccination, or health pass is required to enter Spain (but check for changes before travel).
4. Other Entry Requirements & Advice
- Border control may request proof of:
• Return or onward ticket
• Sufficient funds
• Accommodation reservation or address - Traveling with minors without both parents may lead to extra checks.
- Overstaying 90 days may lead to fines, deportation, or future entry restrictions.
- Keep copies of your passport and documents (digital and physical).
- Enroll in the U.S. Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive alerts from the U.S. Embassy in Spain.
