DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN JEDDAH

Upon your arrival at Jeddah airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. You will have the rest of the day free.

DAY 2: VISIT JEDDAH

After breakfast at the hotel, you will start the day with a tour of the old town of Jeddah with your guide, who will reveal all its secrets as you wander through the old market, the hidden galleries of the old town, and the Baghdadi House. You will also visit the old gold market at Qabil Street and the Ukash Mosque. Finally, a lovely stroll along the waterfront will round off this city break.

DAY 3: DAY TRIP TO OBHUR AND ITS BEACH

After breakfast, head for the beach and its private beach club where you can swim in the Red Sea and make the most of this idyllic spot. Optional: self-guided tour of the town of Obhur.

When on the beach, you must wear a normal swimsuit.

DAY 4: JEDDAH - RETURN FLIGHT

After breakfast at the hotel, depending on your return flight time, you will be transferred to the airport.

The city of Jeddah lies on the shores of the Red Sea. It blends modern and ancient influences, particularly in Al-Balad, a part of the city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. One kilometre from the Corniche, which runs along the coast, the Blue Diamond hotel nestles in the business district. The hotel's 85 rooms and suites are decorated in a sober, contemporary style. This welcoming establishment has a gym, a hammam and an indoor swimming pool. There is also a restaurant and a café.

Entry requirements for Saudi Arabia:

  • Visa

Since 27 September 2019, Saudi Arabia has been issuing tourist visas to nationals of 49 countries, including France. According to the Saudi authorities, it is possible to apply for this type of visa directly on arrival, thanks to special terminals at Riyadh and Jeddah airports. However, French nationals wishing to travel to Saudi Arabia are advised to apply for an electronic visa in advance via Saudi Visa (https://visa.visitsaudi.com/). In all cases, visitors must be able to present the necessary documents on arrival, particularly with regard to medical insurance.

The Saudi authorities will not issue visas to holders of passports bearing Israeli visas or stamps.

  • Customs regulations

On arrival in Saudi Arabia, luggage is generally subjected to a thorough inspection. Import bans on certain goods must be observed to avoid confiscation and a lengthy search.

  • Customs and traditions

Certain social and religious rules must be respected:

  • The import and consumption of alcohol and pork is totally forbidden in Saudi Arabia. Imported cultural products (books, DVDs, magazines, etc.) must be compatible with local standards of decency.
  • Foreign women are no longer required to wear an "abaya" (a long dress covering the entire body). However, women are advised to wear loose-fitting clothing and avoid short sleeves and dresses above the knee.
  • Men should wear pants and avoid shorts or Bermuda shorts.
  • Islam is the only religion allowed in Saudi Arabia. All manifestations of belonging to other religions (practice, proselytism, symbols, etc.) are forbidden.
  • Only Muslims are allowed to visit Mecca, where access is strictly controlled. As for Medina, access to the Prophet's Mosque is forbidden to non-Muslims.
  • During the month of Ramadan, travellers should pay particular attention to respecting Saudi customs and habits.
  • Saudis are strict about fasting. It is absolutely forbidden to eat, drink or smoke in public, on threat of arrest and deportation. Women must be particularly careful about their dress code.

Certain aspects of private life are considered indecent offences (adultery, homosexuality, etc.) and are severely punished. The consumption and trafficking of alcohol and drugs are also severely punished.

If you are travelling alone, you will be asked to pay a surcharge for a single room. This additional charge will be automatically included in your quote.
Child rates will be applied for children from 2 to 12 years old in the case where the child shares the room with two adults. If the child is travelling with just one adult, the surcharge may be applied on an adult basis. If your child or children do not fit into the age group mentioned above, the rate will be communicated to you at the time of processing your order. If the room is equipped with a bunk bed, the bed height is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
