From the splendour of the sunset at Tanah Lot, the art and culture of Matubulan, the fascinating wilderness of Kintamani, the architectural rice paddies of Jatiluwith to the cultural vibrancy of Ubud, every stop is a revelation. The journey ends peacefully on the immaculate beaches of Gili Trawangan. This tour combines exciting activities with plenty of leisure time to enjoy Bali's unique charm.

Your detailed itinerary
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN DENPASAR - LEGIAN (6.2 MILES - 1 HR)
On arrival at Bali airport, meet your local guide and transfer to your accommodation in Legian. Check in and spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

DAY 2: LEGIAN - UBUD (60 MILES - 7 HRS)
Breakfast at the hotel and departure. Start the tour with a drive to the southern part of the island to the temple of Uluwatu situated at around 70 m on the cliff overlooking the bay. From here, watch as the rough seas of the Indian Ocean surge forward and crash against the rocks beneath the cliff. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant.
After lunch, continue your visit to the Temple of Tanah Lot, situated on a huge rock surrounded by the sea. It's an ideal beach to relax on and a great place to watch the sunset (weather permitting). This temple was built in the 16th century by the Javanese priest Danghyang Nirartha. Meet in Ubud for check-in at your hotel.

DAY 3: UBUD (51 MILES - 7 HRS)
Breakfast at the hotel. Head to the village of Batubulan to watch the dance show by Barong and Kris. Then visit Celuk, Batuan and Mas, arts and crafts villages to witness goldsmithing, hand weaving, wood carving and painting. Visit Ubud's Monkey Forest, then Tampak Siring to see the temple of blessed spring water Tirta Empul. Then admire the magnificent panorama of the still active volcano of Mount Batur and Lake Batur. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant in Kintamani before returning to the hotel.

DAY 4: UBUD (55 MILES - 7 HRS)
After breakfast, visit the village of Penglipuran, with countryside that is typical of the area, with its unique way of life, encounters and culture. The next stop is Besakih, Bali's "mother temple". The complex includes 30 temples, arranged on 7 levels of terraces on the mountainside. Then stop for lunch at a local restaurant.
In the late afternoon, make your way back down to the Goa Lawah Temple, known as the "bat cave", where thousands of bats hang around the edge of the cave.

DAY 5: UBUD (75 MILES - 7 HRS)
After breakfast at the hotel in the morning, start your sightseeing tour with a visit to the magnificent Taman Ayun temple dating back to the Mengwi royal dynasty. Continue on to Bedugul, on the shores of Lake Beratan, where you can enjoy the fresh mountain breeze and a breathtaking view of the Ulun Danu Temple. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant. Then stop off at a local market selling fresh fruit and vegetables. Then visit the magnificent rice terraces of Jatiluwih. Then visit Pura Luhur Batuku on the slopes of Gunung Batukaru.

DAY 6: UBUD

DAY 7: UBUD - GILI TRAWANGAN (60 MILES - 3 HRS 50)
Breakfast at the hotel Your private transfer will pick you up at 10:30 a.m. to take you to Padang Bay to catch the speedboat which leaves at 12:15 p.m. for Gili Trawangan. Arrive in Gili Trawangan for a direct transfer to the hotel using the local "Cidomo" transport. Rest of the day free.

DAYS 8 TO 10: GILI TRAWANGAN
Breakfast at the hotel. Free days.

DAY 11: GILI TRAWANGAN - LEGIAN (15 MILES - 3 HRS 50)
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure and boarding of the "Cimodo" to take the speedboat back to Padang Bay at 11:25 a.m. Arrive at Padang Bay for a direct transfer to your hotel in Legian. The rest of the day is free.

DAY 12: LEGIAN - DEPARTURE FROM DENPASAR (6.2 MILES - 1 HR)
Breakfast at the hotel. You are allowed to use the room until 6 p.m., at your leisure until departure time and, if necessary, transfer to the airport to catch your return flight.

Your board
During your tour you will be staying on a package based on the itinerary. Your trip is on a breakfast-included package in the various hotels. You will also enjoy 4 lunches (excluding drinks) as per the itinerary (on Days 2, 3, 4, and 5).

Good to know
- As indicated, the hotels are classified as four-star, according to local standards. The services provided may not be equivalent to European four-star standards.
- Comfortable, lightweight clothing is recommended when travelling in Indonesia. Visitors must not wear sleeveless shirts, shorts, short skirts or skimpy clothing when visiting temples, religious, or official buildings.
- Shoes must be removed before entering a temple or private home.
- Sun protection, sunglasses, a hat, and mosquito repellent will come in very handy during your stay.
