Day 1 | Arrival in Tokyo
Arrive at Tokyo Airport.Take the shared shuttle bus to your hotel. Collect your Pocket Wi-Fi from reception to enjoy internet access throughout your trip.

Day 2 | Tokyo
Have breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a free day in Tokyo to explore at your leisure.
Suggested sights: Visit the Meiji-jingu Shrine before heading to the Harajuku and Omotesando districts, and then on to Shibuya.

Day 3 | Tokyo
Have breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a free day in Tokyo to explore at your leisure.
Suggested sights: Discover the traditional neighbourhood of Asakusa, home to the magnificent Senso-ji Temple and Sumida Park. Continue with a stroll through Yanaka, also known as "Old Tokyo".

Day 4 | Tokyo - Hakone
Have breakfast at the hotel, then set off for Hakone using your Hakone Free Pass. Enjoy some free time.
Spend the night in a ryokan, a traditional Japanese inn. Relax in an onsen (hot spring) and round off the evening with a delicious traditional Japanese meal.
Suggested activities: visit the Hakone-jinja shrine, then take a boat across Lake Ashi. Next, take the cable car to the Owakudani volcanic valley to see its impressive fumaroles.
Dinner and overnight stay at a ryokan in Hakone.
Day 5 | Hakone - Kyoto
Have breakfast at the hotel. Use your pass to make your way to Odawara Station and catch the Shinkansen to Kyoto. Enjoy some free time.
Suggested sights: Take a stroll through the Arashiyama district, the Sagano Bamboo Forest, the Iwatayama Monkey Park, or the traditional alleyways further north towards the Giō-ji Temple area. We also recommend a visit to Tenryu-ji Temple.
Overnight stay in Kyoto.
Day 6 | Kyoto
Have breakfast at the hotel. Free day in Kyoto.
Suggested sights: Discover the stunning Fushimi Inari Shinto shrine, with its thousands of red torii gates set amongst the trees. Further south, visit Uji, which is famous for its tea and the Byōdō-in temple.
Overnight stay in Kyoto.
Day 7 | Kyoto - Hiroshima
Have breakfast at the hotel. Activate your Kansai Hiroshima Area Pass. Then, make your way to Kyoto Station to catch the train to Hiroshima. Enjoy some free time.
Suggested sights: In Hiroshima, visit the Peace Memorial Park and its museum to gain a poignant insight into the country's history.

Day 8 | Hiroshima
Have breakfast at the hotel. Free day in Hiroshima.
Suggested sights: Take a stroll around the sacred island of Miyajima. Admire the famous floating torii gate at Itsukushima Shrine, one of Japan’s most iconic landmarks, amidst free-roaming deer, peaceful temples and forest trails.

Day 9 | Hiroshima - Okayama
Have breakfast at the hotel. Then, make your way to Hiroshima Station to catch the train to Okayama. Enjoy some free time.

Have breakfast at the hotel. Free day in Okayama.
Suggested sights: Take a trip to the magnificent Korakuen Garden, a masterpiece of Japanese landscaping, and then head to Kurashiki to explore the historic district with its tranquil canals and immaculately preserved merchant houses.
Overnight stay in Okayama.
Day 11 | Okayama - Osaka
Have breakfast at the hotel. Then, make your way to Okayama Station to catch the train to Osaka. Enjoy some free time.
Suggested sights: Take a stroll through the Umeda, Namba and Shinsaibashi districts to do some shopping, or head out to explore Minoh and Katsuo-ji Temple, which is home to thousands of daruma dolls.

Day 12 | Departure from Osaka
Have breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Osaka Airport by shared shuttle for your return flight.

- Hakone: 1 night at the Ichinoyu Honkan ryokan (or similar)
- Kyoto: 2 nights at the 3-star Il Verde Kyoto (or similar)
- Hiroshima: 2 nights at the 3-star Daiwa Roynet Hotel Hiroshima (or similar)
- Okayama: 2 nights at the 3-star Daiwa Roynet Hotel Okayama Ekimae (or similar)
- Osaka: 1 night at the 3-star WBF Namba Motomachi (or similar)

The type of bed (double or twin) cannot be guaranteed in hotels.
In the ryokan, you can choose between a Western-style or traditional Japanese-style room.

During your stay, you will be provided with breakfast. During your overnight stay at the ryokan, you will be provided with half-board (breakfast and dinner, excluding drinks). Any other meals are at leisure.

ITINERARY:
- For technical reasons, hotels may be replaced with similar accommodation, and the itinerary's order may be reversed.
- Please ensure that your arrival flight lands before 11pm and that your departure flight takes off after 10am.
ACCOMMODATION:
- In Japan, hotel rooms and beds are often quite small. Check-in is usually in the mid-afternoon (3 to 4pm).
- Please note that ryokan accommodation is traditional and authentic, and often only offers shared bathrooms and toilets where tattoos are not always permitted.
- Some hotels offer an eco-stay package (bedding and room cleaning are carried out approximately every three days, depending on the establishment).
- The accommodation included in this trip is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
- Any specific requests regarding bedding type or other special requirements are subject to availability and may incur an additional charge.
- No refund will be given in the event of a late arrival or early departure due to airline schedules. Meals included in the package that are not consumed for these reasons, as well as those missed due to optional extras or excursions, are the responsibility of the customer.
TRANSPORT:
- Shuttle arrival transfer from Tokyo Airport to your Tokyo hotel, followed by a return shuttle transfer from your Osaka hotel to Kansai Airport (KIX) or Itami Airport (ITM):
- The transfer is by shared shuttle. The shuttle will drop you off in front of your hotel and may make several stops along the way.
- On the return transfer, the shuttle will drop you off at the airport and may make several stops along the way. 1 piece of luggage per person is included; if you have additional luggage, please contact us before your departure.
- In Osaka, this service is subject to departure from Kansai Airport (KIX) or Itami Airport (ITM) between 10am and 2am. Outside these times, a supplement for a private transfer may be offered.
Hakone Free Pass: days 4 and 5
- This pass allows youto travel from Tokyo Shinjuku to Hakone on the Odakyu Line. After changing at Odawara, you can travel to Hakone and use your pass to access transport networks such as the Hakone Tozan buses, cable cars and funicular, as well as the Lake Ashi cruise boat. You’ll also enjoy discounts on admission to certain tourist attractions!
Train from Odawara (Hakone) to Kyoto: day 5
- In Japan, the train is undoubtedly one of the best ways to travel quickly and easily. Hakone is about two hours from Kyoto. Your Hakone Free Pass allows you to travel to Odawara Station first, where you can then catch your connecting train to Kyoto. Please note that train timetables will be provided in your travel booklet.
Kansai Hiroshima Area Pass: days 7 to 11
- The train is probably the most convenient and fastest mode of transport in Japan.As the rail network is well developed, you can easily reach the country’s main attractions. Your pass is valid for five days and gives you access to all trains on the JR rail network, as well as JR buses, certain express lines (excluding express buses), and JR ferries.
IMPORTANT:
- Please note that some of your travel vouchers may be sent by post. We advise you to check your post carefully before setting off on your trip.
- Please note that any transfer to another airport is not included and will therefore be at your own expense.
