On arrival at Yogyakarta International Airport, you will be met by your driver. You will then drive to Yogyakarta. Arrival at the hotel. Settle in at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel ** Discover the extraordinary **Borobudur Temple, a World Heritage site built in the 8th century. Stroll through Borobudur's ten terraces and admire its magnificent bas-reliefs and statues, which have remained buried under layers of volcanic ash for over ten centuries. In the afternoon, visit the Prambanan Temple, the most interesting Hindu sanctuary in Java dating from the 9th century, considered to be one of the most beautiful Hindu temples in the world and known as the Temple of Rara Jonggrang, or the Temple of the "Slender Virgin". This temple represents the Hindu trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, with a bas-relief illustrating the legendary tale of the Ramayana.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will leave Yogyakarta by train for Mojokerto. (3 hrs 25 mins) On arrival, you will continue your journey by car, crossing through the heart of Java on the eastern route. You'll pass through endless forests and lush green countryside on the way to Bromo, all the while taking in some picturesque scenery.

Before dawn, you will begin the ascent to the summit of Mount Penanjakan (viewpoint) at 2,700 m, where you can admire the sunrise over the whole of the Tengger Caldera. The view of the sunrise from the circle of the volcano is like no other. After dawn, we descend into the valley to return on horseback via the "paradise trail". From the summit of Mount Bromo you can observe the active volcano, which regularly expels gas. Then back to the hotel. The journey then continues towards Ijen.

Depart by 4x4 jeep through magnificent landscapes of rice paddies and tropical forests, then hike (2 hrs) to the sulphur crater (good physical condition required). The summit offers a truly spectacular view of the vast, turquoise Ijen crater and the beautiful mountain valley, as well as providing an extraordinary visual experience. Here you will meet the miners and porters working in the crater. Enjoy the natural environment, then descend to Kalibendo with its colourful coffee, rubber, cotton, and clove plantations. Transfer to Ketapang Airport to board the ferry across the Bali Strait to Gilimanuk. (crossing takes around 30 minutes). Direct transfer to Pemuteran.

Breakfast at the hotel. Then departure for the port to board a small boat to Menjangan Island for some snorkelling. Discover the magnificent underwater landscape of northern Bali, with its beautiful corals and exotic fish. Menjangan Park boasts some of the richest biodiversity on the Island of the Gods. Lunch will be served in the form of a packed lunch. Return to the hotel in the afternoon. Rest of the day is free.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, departure for Munduk to visit the Munduk Waterfall. Continue to Bedugul via the panoramic Asah Gobleg road to admire the beautiful scenery of Tamblingan Lake and Buyan. Lunch in a local restaurant. Then stop off for a visit to the Ulun Danu Temple, dedicated to the goddess of Lake Bratan, and discover the Candikuning village market. After the visit, transfer to Ubud.

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the village of Tampaksiring and visit to the site of Gunung Kawi, the mountain of poems. The tombs, carved out of the rock, can be reached after climbing a long staircase through the rice fields (around 1 hr 15 min walk). Visit to the sacred baths of Tirta Empul, where many pilgrims come to purify themselves and make offerings. Departure for Kintamani and the Mount Batur region. Lunch in a panoramic restaurant overlooking the volcano and its lake. Return to Ubud via the Tegalalang terraces for Balinese coffee tasting while admiring the superb rice terraces. Then visit the Royal Palace of Ubud and enjoy some free time at the market with its countless local crafts. Traditional Balinese dance show.

Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight stay in Ubud.

Breakfast at the hotel. Then a visit to the sacred Mangening temples where you can bathe in the purifying sacred waters, make offerings to the gods, and attain inner peace. This exclusive experience is only available with Jans Tours, which has granted special access to the guarded areas of the temples. A Pemangku (Balinese priest) will accompany you on your visit. Once cleansed, return to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to spend how you please.

Breakfast at the hotel. Then, departure for Bangli to visit the typical village of Penglipuran and the Kehen Temple, famous for its centuries-old baths. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, head east to discover the **Besakih Temple, the largest and most sacred temple on the island. The tour continues with a visit to the former Kertagosa courthouse in Klungkung. Finally, transfer to Sanur.

Breakfast at the hotel. Free morning then departure at around 4 p.m. for a very special sunset excursion. You will be driven to Uluwatu, a superb little mountain in the extreme south of Bali. A 45-minute drive will take you to the sacred temple of Pura Uluwatu, a monument overlooking the ocean on a natural promontory at the westernmost tip of the peninsula. At 6 p.m., the "Kecak", a traditional Balinese dance show, begins. The show tells the story of the eternal love between Rama and Shinta.

Seafood dinner at a local restaurant in Jimbaran. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay in Sanur.

Breakfast at the hotel. Free morning and make your own lunch arrangements. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for your return flight.
