Day 1 | Arrival in Istanbul

Upon arrival in Istanbul, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel.

You are at leisure to spend the rest of the day exploring Istanbul's famous landmarks, such as Taksim Square.

Overnight stay in Istanbul.

Day 2 | Istanbul / Van

After breakfast, we'll head to Istanbul Airport for our flight to Van, a town located near the shores of Turkey's largest lake.

Upon arrival, we'll explore Van Castle, which is perched high above the lake and offers panoramic views of the surrounding area.

Lunch.

Stroll along the lake and visit of the Van Museum, home to important Urartian artefacts.

Dinner and overnight stay in Van.

Day 3 | Van / Cavustepe / Akdamar Island

Today, after breakfast, we will visit the ancient Urartian city of Çavuştepe to explore its ruins, including a well-preserved palace.

Lunch.

We will then take a boat to the island of Akdamar, home to the Church of the Holy Cross, an impressive 10th-century Armenian church.

Admire the magnificent frescoes and the breathtaking views over the lake.

Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4 | Van / Muradiye / Dogubeyazit

Breakfast.

Today we will drive through the picturesque countryside to Muradiye, where we will pay a visit to the Muradiye waterfalls.

Lunch.

We'll then continue on to Doğubeyazıt, located near the foot of Mount Ararat, to get a glimpse of the famous peak.

We will also visit the palace of Ishak Pasha, an architectural marvel offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains.

Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5 | Dogubeyazit / Ani / Kars

Breakfast.

This morning, we will visit the ruins of Ani, the former capital of the Kingdom of Armenia.

This UNESCO World Heritage site is famous for its stunning medieval churches and ruins.

Lunch.

We will then continue our journey to Kars, a city rich in culture and historical monuments, including the Fethiye Mosque and Kars Castle.

Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6 | Kars / Erzurum

After breakfast, we will drive to Erzurum, a town renowned for its Seljuk architecture.

On arrival, we will visit the Çifte Minareli Medrese, the Yakutiye madrasa, and Erzurum Castle.

Lunch.

Weather permitting, we'll take a stroll around Cumhuriyet Caddesi to discover the local lifestyle.

Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7 | Erzurum

After breakfast, we will have a full day devoted to exploring Erzurum.

You will visit the Lala Pasha Mosque, the Ulu Cami, and the Erzurum Archaeological Museum.

Lunch.

You can also relax and enjoy muhlama (a dish made with melted cheese) and kavut (a dessert made with cereals and roasted nuts).

Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 8 | Erzurum / Istanbul

Breakfast followed by an early transfer to the airport for the flight from Erzurum to Istanbul.

On arrival, visit of the Blue Mosque, famous for its Iznik tiles and six minarets, followed by the Hippodrome, a former sporting and political centre.

Lunch.

Discover the Hagia Sophia, a 6th-century Byzantine masterpiece, then immerse yourself in the Grand Bazaar, the largest souk in the world.

A unique experience: sample Turkish coffee prepared by the market's historic roasters.

Optional dinner cruise on the Bosphorus.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 9 | Istanbul / Flight Back Home

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your return flight, bringing your unforgettable tour of Eastern Turkey to a close.

If you are travelling alone, you will be asked to pay a surcharge for a single room. This additional charge will be automatically included in your quote.
Child rates will be applied for children from 2 to 12 years old in the case where the child shares the room with two adults. If the child is travelling with just one adult, the surcharge may be applied on an adult basis. If your child or children do not fit into the age group mentioned above, the rate will be communicated to you at the time of processing your order. If the room is equipped with a bunk bed, the bed height is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
For safety reasons, the wellbeing facilities of most establishments are not accessible to children under 16 years old. Similarly, it is possible that some amenities or services require an additional charge or are unavailable for exceptional reasons.

Once your reservation has been made, you will receive a confirmation e-mail before your travel documents are sent.
Regarding the transport documents (in the case of a reservation with transport included), we will provide you with all the information relating to check-in and luggage in the "Your travel documents" email, allowing you to leave with peace of mind.
To take advantage of all your reserved services (hotels, transfers, activities, etc.), you will receive one or more exchange vouchers to be presented to each supplier.

Transportation

In order to best organise your time in the airport, we advise that you arrive 2 hours before boarding for a medium-haul flight, or 3 hours before boarding for a long-haul flight (more than 5 hours). Take advantage of your early arrival to pass through security and check your luggage.
You will be informed whether or not luggage is included at the time of your booking.
You will have the opportunity to add additional luggage for a fee.
There are several different cities that are typically offered as departure points. Your arrival destination will show in your travel documents.
Depending on the flight schedule, some arrivals or returns may be made at night with early arrival or late departure. You will not always be able to have your room available immediately and will need to refer to the check-in and check-out conditions of the hotel.
In the event that your transfer is not included in your hotel reservation, it may be offered at the time of your reservation as an additional option. Unless specifically mentioned, transfers may be made in groups of 15 to 55 people.
