Your detailed itinerary
Day 1 | Arrival in Hanoi
Upon your arrival in Hanoi, you will be greeted at the airport by our driver. You will then be transferred to the city, where you can enjoy some free time to rest or explore the city at your own pace.
Night in Hanoi.

Day 2 | Visit of Hanoi
Breakfast at the hotel.
Explore the charming city of Hanoi, nicknamed the ‘Paris of the East’ for its colonial architecture, shaded boulevards and picturesque lakes.
Visit the Ho Chi Minh complex, which houses the mausoleum of the nation's founder and his house on stilts, as well as the historic One Pillar Pagoda, dating from before the city was founded.
Continue your discovery with the Tran Quoc pagoda, the oldest in Hanoi, located on an island on the western lake.
In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university, before taking a stroll through the old quarter, famous for its "36 streets of 36 trades".
End the day at Hoan Kiem Lake, nicknamed the ‘Lake of the Returned Sword’, where you can stroll and enjoy the scenery. In the evening, attend the unmissable puppet show on the water.

Day 3 | Cruise and overnight on Halong Bay
Breakfast at the hotel, then departure by shared bus for Halong Bay, crossing the Red River delta.
On arrival, you will be greeted with a welcome drink before starting your cruise. Lunch on board with delicious seafood while admiring the karst landscapes and emerald waters. Then visit a hidden cave in the bay.

Day 4 | Departure for Hue
Start the day with a tai chi session combining deep breathing and gentle movements, followed by a light breakfast and brunch in the fresh air of Halong Bay. As the boat continues its cruise through the more peaceful areas, it reaches the quay where you will disembark at around 10.30 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Transfer by collective bus to Hanoi, then by private car to Noi Bai airport for your flight to Hue.
On arrival, you will be met by your driver and transferred to your hotel to settle in.

Day 5 | Visit of Hue
Breakfast at the hotel.
You will then visit the Imperial Citadel, built in 1804 by Emperor Gia Long, an imposing fortress in the heart of Hué.
Next, you will discover the garden houses, typical and serene, a harmonious blend of nature and urbanism.
In the afternoon, explore the tomb of Emperor Tu Duc, a masterpiece of traditional Vietnamese art, where you will learn about the history of the Nguyens and the French colonial era.
The visit also includes the Tu Hieu pagoda and ends with a free stroll through the Dong Ba market to browse or shop.

Day 6 | Departure for Hoi An
Morning at leisure to explore the city at your own pace or enjoy the hotel swimming pool.
In the afternoon, departure from Hué with your driver towards Danang along the famous ‘cloud pass’ road, offering spectacular panoramic views over the bay.

Day 7 | Free day in Hoi An

Hoi An is a charming historic town and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tourists can enjoy discovering the well-preserved ancient architecture of the old town, sampling delicious cuisine, shopping in craft shops, taking part in Vietnamese cookery classes, visiting ancient temples and pagodas, and enjoying the nearby beach. Hoi An offers a unique combination of culture, history and relaxation, making it one of Vietnam's must-visit destinations.

Day 8 | Free day in Hoi An
Breakfast at the hotel.
Take advantage of your free time to explore the city at your own pace or relax on the magnificent beaches of An Bang or Cua Dai, just 5 km from the city centre. An ideal opportunity to appreciate the tranquillity and seaside charm of the region.

Day 9 | Head for Ho Chi Minh
In the morning, your driver will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
On arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, your guide will welcome you for a tour of the city's must-see attractions. You will discover the War Remnants Museum, which offers a striking perspective on the American war through artefacts, historical photographs and military equipment such as tanks, artillery and weapons.
You will then visit the Reunification Palace, the former seat of the Governor General of Indochina and the presidential residence of South Vietnam until 1975.
The Notre-Dame cathedral, with its elegant red brick façade and spires inspired by the Parisian edifice, will impress you, as will the Central Post Office, a masterpiece designed by Gustave Eiffel.
Finally, stroll through the bustling Ben Thanh market, where you can test your bargaining skills and take home some unique souvenirs of this memorable day.

Day 10 | Return from Ho Chi Minh
After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy some free time before your driver transfers you to Ho Chi Minh Airport for your flight home. Please note that your room will only be available until midday.

ENTRY FORMALITIES
Since 15 August 2023, UK nationals have been exempt from visa requirements for stays of up to 45 days (including days of entry and exit), regardless of the type of passport and the purpose of the stay.
To benefit from this visa exemption, the expiry date of the UK passport must not be less than six months before the end of the stay in Vietnam.
Tourist visa exemption (maximum 45 days, including entry and exit days), e-visa (maximum 90 days, including multiple entry and exit days) and tourist visas in general cannot be extended or renewed on the spot. Neither the UK Embassy in Hanoi nor the Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City can intervene in these matters, which are the responsibility of the Vietnamese authorities.
