DAY 2 | Discovering the capital with a guide

This morning, we have included a guided tour of Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur, is an exciting and bustling city that began life in the mid-1900s as a trading post for Chinese tin miners. It's a blend of modern skyscrapers, traditional culture and colonial architecture.
Your sightseeing tour will include a visit to the National Mosque, the National Monument, the Cenotaph and a photo stop at the gateway to the King's Palace.
Stroll through the streets of the central market to visit the Sri Mahamariamman temple. Afterwards, venture into the lively street of Chinatown and stroll through Little India, past the jewellery and sari boutiques. Visit the magnificent Masjid Jamek mosque. Then onto Merdeka Square, with the Tudor-style Royal Selangor Club in the background. Finally, visit a batik outlet to see demonstrations of the production of various types of batik prints.

DAY 4 | Cameron Highlands

This morning, we set off on a sightseeing drive to the glorious Cameron Highlands, named after William Cameron, the British surveyor who discovered them at the end of the 19th century.
This plateau is 1,800 metres above sea level. The cool, refreshing air of its rolling valleys and majestic mountains surrounds the region with the absolute beauty of vast green landscapes, where tea plantations, flower gardens, market gardens and orchards are familiar sights. En route, you'll visit a local artisanal workshop making bamboo baskets and the Lata Iskandar waterfall.
On arrival at Cameron Highlands, check in at the hotel.

DAY 5 | On the road from Cameron Highlands to Penang

This morning, we visit a hillside market. Here we'll discover the many tropical fruits, vegetables and flowers grown in the Cameron Highlands. A visit to the BOH tea plantation will give you an insight into the time-honoured methods of tea-making in the Cameron Highlands. Then sample the best teas from BOH and savour their exquisite flavours.
Leaving Cameron Highlands, you travel to the state of Perak, famous for its tin mines, rock temples and royal palaces. Near Ipoh, visit the Kek Lok Toong cave temple to learn more about Buddhist, Taoist and Confucian beliefs. We will stop at a hundred-year-old palace in the royal city of Kuala Kangsar, now a museum of the Royal Regalia. Discover the charming mosque of Ubudiah, with its fairytale architecture that looks like it has just come from the pages of the Arabian Nights! Then it's time to cross the impressive 13.5km-long bridge to the island of Penang, the "Pearl of the East", for a two-night stay.

DAY 6 | Discovering Georgetown

Enjoy a walk to savour the unique wonders of the UNESCO heritage site of George Town, an old colonial town. The first visit continues at Khoo Kongsi - a building with a magnificent hall adorned with intricate carvings and woodwork. Head to the Temple of the Goddess of Mercy, past the florists and fortune teller stalls, and stop by the joss stick shop to see how Mr Lee makes incense sticks.
Walk to Little India - Spice Market and experience the hustle and bustle of Georgetown's spice trade, such as wholesalers and retailers selling ancient spices like cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and more. Board a vehicle and visit Chew Jetty - the fishing village where houses were built on stilts by a clan from southern China in the mid-19th century. Continue on to see the ruins of Fort Cornwallis, the temple of the reclining Buddha and the Burmese temple.

DAY 7 | Fly to Langkawi
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Penang airport for your flight to the island of Langkawi.
On arrival at Langkawi airport, you will be met and transferred to the resort for check-in.
The legends associated with Langkawi are ancient and known to have existed since antiquity. Many of these legends are vague in their origins and have lost their appeal over the years, but some have survived the test of time and are fresh in the minds of Langkawi's inhabitants. Most of the places often visited by people have their own tale or legend, making them more special with an added attraction.

Cameron Highlands → Penang: 3 hours by car (private vehicle)
Penang → Langkawi: 45 minutes by plane
For the return journey, you will take a flight from Langkawi to Kuala Lumpur international airport. However, if your flight from Kuala Lumpur to Paris is scheduled very early, we will arrange your departure from Langkawi a day earlier. You will then spend the night in a hotel close to Kuala Lumpur airport, with airport transfer included.
