Once you arrive at Nairobi Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel by a local representative for check-in. The rest of the day is free.

Dinner on your own, overnight at the hotel

After breakfast at the hotel, meet with your safari driver at the reception and depart for a scenic drive through the rift valley to Masai Mara. Heading across acres of rolling wheat and barley farms to Narok, the district headquarters of this part of Maasailand. From here cross the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley whilst keeping an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle before heading up the rift escarpment. You will arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and later enjoy time for relaxation before setting off back into the park for your afternoon game drive in the park till sun set.

Full day game drives in the Masai Mara. The landscape of huge rolling plains, woodlands, riverine forests, hills are home to millions of animals. Its famous Mara River plays host to the annual wildebeest migration spectacle. The reserve is also a bird’s paradise with over 450 different species. Return to the lodge as the sun sets.

After breakfast at the lodge, depart to lake Naivasha. Arrive, check in at Naivasha Great Rift Valley Lodge. Lunch at the lodge. Late in the afternoon, enjoy a 1hr boat ride on Lake Naivasha. The lake is found on the floor of Kenya Rift valley, it’s a home to variety of bird species and hippos.

After breakfast, depart to Amboseli National Park. Arrive at the park around lunchtime. If the weather is clear, you’ll catch sight of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro directly ahead. You will arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and later enjoy time for relaxation before setting off back into the park for your afternoon game drive. Return to the camp as the sun sets.

Early morning game drive in the park. Breakfast at the lodge then depart to Tsavo East National Park, Kenya’s largest park. Arrive for lunch at the Lodge. Tsavo East is famous for its magnificent scenery, volcanic hills, rivers as well as large numbers of animal and plant species. Afternoon game drive in the park till sunset.

Early morning game drive in the park. Breakfast at the lodge then drive to Mombasa. Transfer to your hotel. Check in for 3 nights stay at Southern Palms Beach Resort, superior garden room.

These rooms offer a King bed or two twin beds to suit all your accommodation needs.

Day of arrival and welcome: as you leave the plane, you will pass through the immigration offices where your visa will be checked. You will then collect your luggage and on your way out a local representative from SawaSawa Africa will be waiting for you in uniform with a sign bearing your name.

Hotel-only option: for those booking the ‘hotel-only’ option (without an international flight), please let us know your flight details as soon as possible using the contact form in ‘Help and contact’ at the bottom of the page, so that we can organise your transfers. The flights you choose must arrive before midday on day 1 and leave after 6 p.m. on day 7, so that you can take full advantage of the tour.

The order of visits may be changed for logistical reasons.

Visa: All travellers to Kenya must be in possession of an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) before entering the Republic of Kenya (including minors).

No traveller can be accepted into Kenya without a visa or an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation).

The ETA will be issued within 3 days or 72 hours, but may be shorter for previously exempted nationals.

Visas previously issued under the E-visa platform will still be honoured.

East African nationals will be exempt from applying for an ETA.

Children under the age of 16, who were previously exempt from the visa requirement, will now have to apply for an ETA.
