DAY 1 | SAN JOSÉ

Welcome to Costa Rica! Our local representative will meet and assist you at SJO airport.

Shared transfer from Juan Santamaría International Airport to your hotel in San José.

Check in, make yourself comfortable in your hotel room and relax!

DAY 2 | SAN JOSÉ - TORTUGUERO

Early in the morning, meet at the hotel reception desk for the semi-collective transfer to the pier to arrive in Tortuguero. You'll pass through Braulio Carrillo National Park, a prime example of Costa Rica's lush cloud forest. En route, you'll stop in the town of Guápiles to enjoy breakfast in a local restaurant, before taking the boat to Tortuguero and sailing through the famous canals full of flora and fauna, in the heart of the rainforest.

Check-in at the lodge, followed by lunch.

In the afternoon, you'll visit the village of Tortuguero on the other side of the canal and the small beach in the area, which becomes a turtle nesting ground. The order of activities in Tortuguero may vary according to the hotel's schedule.

Duration: 3h by road and 1h30 by boat.

DAY 3 | TORTUGUERO

Get ready to explore Tortuguero National Park: take a boat trip to visit the canals of Tortuguero. It's a fun and different way to discover this imposing panorama.

Return to the lodge for breakfast.

Later, you'll visit the area around the lodge and the nature trails accompanied by a local guide to discover the rainforest and its flora and fauna.

Lunch at the Lodge. Rest of the day free to enjoy the Lodge facilities and activities.

DAY 4 | TORTUGUERO - ARENAL

Breakfast at the lodge & Check Out.

Depart for the pier, where your transport will be waiting to take you to the town of Guápiles to enjoy lunch in a local restaurant. Then continue your shuttle journey to your next destination: La Fortuna de San Carlos, home to the magnificent Arenal volcano. Before December 2010, the Arenal volcano was one of the ten most active volcanoes in the world, and a truly majestic sight it was, spewing molten rock and ash from its summit on a daily basis. Today, there is no lava eruption, for the moment, but you can still see smoke/ash spewing from the volcano's summit.

On arrival, make yourself comfortable in your hotel room and enjoy free time to relax in the hotel's facilities.

DAY 5 | ARENAL

Breakfast is included at the hotel. During your stay you will have plenty of time to relax and explore the wonders of Arenal for yourself. If you love nature and adventure, the Arenal region offers plenty of options for activities and places to discover. Enjoy some of the natural hot springs, thanks to the volcano's geothermal activity, immerse yourself in the rainforest and experience a sanctuary of relaxation, privacy and tranquillity. If you're more adventurous, hike the lava trails of Arenal Volcano National Park; discover the magnificent La Fortuna waterfall; get your adrenaline pumping in the rapids of the Balsa River while admiring the magnificent vegetation; soar over the treetops on a zip-line adventure and much more! Costa Rica is known around the world as a top adventure destination, and the La Fortuna region is famous for the best outdoor adventures. There are plenty of fun activities for all ages and travellers.

DAY 7 | ARENAL - MONTEVERDE

Breakfast is included at the hotel. At the agreed time, departure for Monteverde by boat across Lake Arenal. This is one of the most popular options. First, travelers take a short overland transfer from their hotel to the Lake Arenal dam. Here, they board a boat and enjoy a 30-minute cruise on Lake Arenal. On the other side, travelers board a minibus and complete the final hour-and-a-half journey to Monteverde. This is a true paradise for nature lovers, with a marvellous diversity of flora and fauna. Unique among Costa Rican rainforests, with a constant cloud-like mist that gives the forest its name. Monteverde is a unique blend of natural beauty and tranquility combined with adventure and adrenaline activities such as thrilling zip lines to fly over the trees, amazing suspension bridges, cultural and culinary experiences to discover Costa Rican traditions, night walks in the jungle to explore the nocturnal secrets of the forest and much more!

Breakfast is included at the hotel. At the agreed time, departure and shuttle transfer to your next destination: the magnificent beach of Manuel Antonio. Manuel Antonio is a small village by the ocean with plenty of good places to stay in the heart of nature. Famous for its national park, this lively little town lies off Costa Rica's central Pacific coast. The region is a treasure trove of biodiversity, attracting nature lovers, eco-travelers and adventurers alike. Enjoy your free time.

DAY 10 | MANUEL ANTONIO

Practical details

If you are travelling alone, you will be asked to pay a surcharge for a single room. This additional charge will be automatically included in your quote.
Child rates will be applied for children from 2 to 12 years old in the case where the child shares the room with two adults. If the child is travelling with just one adult, the surcharge may be applied on an adult basis. If your child or children do not fit into the age group mentioned above, the rate will be communicated to you at the time of processing your order. If the room is equipped with a bunk bed, the bed height is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
For safety reasons, the wellbeing facilities of most establishments are not accessible to children under 16 years old. Similarly, it is possible that some amenities or services require an additional charge or are unavailable for exceptional reasons.

Travel documents

Once your reservation has been made, you will receive a confirmation e-mail before your travel documents are sent.
Regarding the transport documents (in the case of a reservation with transport included), we will provide you with all the information relating to check-in and luggage in the "Your travel documents" email, allowing you to leave with peace of mind.

Transportation

In order to best organise your time in the airport, we advise that you arrive 2 hours before boarding for a medium-haul flight, or 3 hours before boarding for a long-haul flight (more than 5 hours). Take advantage of your early arrival to pass through security and check your luggage.
You will be informed whether or not luggage is included at the time of your booking.
You will have the opportunity to add additional luggage for a fee.
There are several different cities that are typically offered as departure points. Your arrival destination will show in your travel documents.
Depending on the flight schedule, some arrivals or returns may be made at night with early arrival or late departure. You will not always be able to have your room available immediately and will need to refer to the check-in and check-out conditions of the hotel.
In the event that your transfer is not included in your hotel reservation, it may be offered at the time of your reservation as an additional option. Unless specifically mentioned, transfers may be made in groups of 15 to 55 people.
