Short-stay visa :

Passports must be valid for at least six months to enter Qatar.

For short stays of less than 90 days, French nationals are exempt from visa requirements. A return or onward ticket and proof of accommodation are required for entry into Qatar.

No vaccination is compulsory, but certain vaccinations are recommended; make sure you are up to date with the usual vaccinations, but also those linked to any geographical areas visited.

Habits and customs:

It is recommended to adopt a respectful attitude towards local customs and to bear in mind that cultural differences may lead to misinterpretation of certain behaviors.

The various information documents for foreign tourists point out that displays of affection between adults are to be avoided in public. In some public places, such as museums, clothing above the knee is not permitted. Outside these places, however, there are no particular restrictions.

If you are travelling alone, you will be asked to pay a surcharge for a single room. This additional charge will be automatically included in your quote.
Child rates will be applied for children from 2 to 12 years old in the case where the child shares the room with two adults. If the child is travelling with just one adult, the surcharge may be applied on an adult basis. If your child or children do not fit into the age group mentioned above, the rate will be communicated to you at the time of processing your order. If the room is equipped with a bunk bed, the bed height is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.

Swiss citizens must hold a valid passport to enter Qatar. The passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry.

Swiss nationals are eligible for visa-free entry for short-term tourism or business travel. Upon arrival, a free stay of up to 90 days is granted in accordance with current regulations.

Final admission to Qatar is determined by immigration authorities upon arrival. Travelers may be required to present proof of onward or return travel and accommodation details.
