Discover the town of Naha, located on the main island of Okinawa, with its tropical Pacific atmosphere. Start your visit on the Kokusai Dori shopping street with its many traditional shops, then pop into the Makishi Ichiba for more authentic souvenirs. Continue on to Shuri Castle, one of the most iconic in the archipelago, or the magnificent Okino-gu Shrine. For a more typical visit, stroll through the Tsuboya district. You'll be surprised by the picturesque narrow streets and the many shisa (creatures from Japanese folklore). Finally, why not relax by the sea in one of the onsens at Ryujin Onsen?

If you love paradise beaches, the Kerama archipelago, with its 5 islands (Tokashiki-jima, Zamami, etc.), is sure to please. Easily accessible by ferry from the port of Naha, in less than an hour you can enjoy a wide range of activities including snorkelling, parasailing, scuba diving and kayaking! You can also simply enjoy the long stretches of white sandy beaches and crystal-clear sea, as the archipelago abounds in magnificently preserved flora and fauna.

Make your own way to the airport for your flight to Osaka. Upon arrival, transfer by limousine bus from Osaka airport to the city centre of Kyoto.

Suggested visits:

Start with a Zen walk through the Arashiyama bamboo grove and Tenryu-ji temple. Continue on to the city centre districts to stroll around Gion and see the Geishas, or drop in on the Nishiki market, renowned for its size and the variety of foodstuffs on offer. Don't leave Kyoto without seeing the superb Fushimi Inari Shinto shrine, with its thousands of red toriis in the middle of the forest. You can then take a stroll south to Higashiyama to see the famous Kiyomizu-dera temple, Maruyama-koen park and Chion-in temple, among others. A little further north, don't miss Nanzen-ji, a famous Zen temple. You can end your visit at the Golden Pavilion (Kinkakuji), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and then go on to Ninna-ji temple via Hontsuji Dori street, passing through the Ryoan-ji stone garden. With your Kansai Area Pass, you can take the train to many other cities, including Kobe, Himeji, Nara, Wakayama and many more!

Neighbouring Kyoto, Osaka is one of Japan's must-see places for food and festivities. Considered to be the country's shopping capital, you'll find many covered streets called ‘Shotengai’ featuring street food and handicrafts. Start your visit at Osaka Castle, one of the most important in the country, which has stood the test of time and conflict. If the mood strikes you, continue your visit with a visit to the Osaka History Museum. Stroll through theUmeda, Namba and Shinsaibashi districts for a spot of shopping, before heading off into the evening to the streets of Dotombori to sample some of the best local specialities, such as kushikatsu or takoyaki, all in a unique atmosphere, surrounded by neon lights and eccentric bars.

Suggested visits: If you want to delve a little deeper into traditional Japan, visit the magnificent Sumiyoshi Shrine or the Osaka Tenmangu, located right next to the Tenma Pulala market with its Tenjinbashisuji artisan shopping street. Finally, immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Ghibli films in the north of Osaka at Minoh. Stroll along a nature trail, lined with a river and Japanese maples overlooking a waterfall, before finishing in style at Katsuo-ji temple and its thousands of daruma.

Accommodation

Check-in is generally mid-afternoon ( 3 - 4 p.m.).

Minimum occupancy/room: 1 person.

Maximum occupancy: 2 people (2 adults or 1 adult and 1 child).

Age limit for children: 2 - 11 years / babies not permitted.

Single rooms available at extra charge.

Please note: The type of bed - a double bed or two separate beds - is not guaranteed. Any specific request concerning the type of sleeping arrangements (double bed/separate beds) is subject to availability and may incur a supplement.

For technical reasons, hotels may be replaced by similar accommodation and stopovers may be reversed.

In Japan, hotel rooms are often quite narrow and beds small. The accommodation included in this tour is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.

Please note that some hotels offer an eco-stay package. Bedding and room cleaning are carried out approximately every 3 days, depending on the hotel.

Meals

If the first or last day is shortened due to late arrival or early departure caused by airline schedules, no refund will be given. Similarly, any meals included in the board package that cannot be taken due to these timetables cannot be reimbursed. Depending on the schedule of any optional extras and excursions, any meals not taken at the hotel will be at the customer's expense.

Transport

Airport-hotel shuttle transfer in Tokyo: The transfer is by shared shuttle bus. It drops you off in front of your hotel and may make several stops along the way. 1 piece of luggage per person is allowed; in the event of additional luggage, please contact us before departure.

Transfer by limousine bus from the city centre to Tokyo airport: The limousine bus (public transport) runs between the city centre and the airport. The stops closest to your accommodation will be indicated in your travel pack. The connection between the limousine bus stop and your accommodation is often made on foot, but can also be made by metro or bus depending on the location of your hotel.

Flights Tokyo - Naha - Osaka : The flight between Tokyo and Naha takes approximately 4 hours, and the flight between Naha and Osaka takes approximately 3 hours. Please note that the maximum weight for hold luggage is 15kg. For any additional luggage added at the time of booking, a supplement will be applied.

Transfer by limousine bus from Osaka airport to Kyoto city centre: The limousine bus (public transport) runs between the airport and the city centre. The stops closest to your accommodation will be indicated in your travel pack. The connection between the limousine bus stop and your accommodation is often made on foot, but can also be made by metro or bus, depending on the location of your hotel.

Kyoto - Osaka train : In Japan, the train is undoubtedly one of the best ways of getting around quickly and easily. The train journey from Kyoto to Osaka takes between 30 and 40 minutes. You can do this with your Kansai Area Pass.

Kansai Area Pass 4 days: The Kansai Area Pass gives you unlimited access for 4 days to the various JR trains in the Kansai region, as well as JR buses. It also gives you one-day access to certain Keihan, Hankyu and Kyoto metro lines.

Train Osaka - Osaka Airport : You can transfer to Kansai Airport (KIX) on your own using the Pass included in your package. If you are returning from Kobe (UKB) or Itami (ITM) airport, transfers will be at your own expense. In the event of an early morning flight (scheduled to take off before 10 a.m.), you will have to make your own way to the airport using a means other than your Pass, as train timetables do not allow you to be at the airport at these times. A supplement for a private transfer may be offered.

If you are travelling alone, you will be asked to pay a surcharge for a single room. This additional charge will be automatically included in your quote.
Child rates will be applied for children from 2 to 12 years old in the case where the child shares the room with two adults. If the child is travelling with just one adult, the surcharge may be applied on an adult basis. If your child or children do not fit into the age group mentioned above, the rate will be communicated to you at the time of processing your order. If the room is equipped with a bunk bed, the bed height is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
For safety reasons, the wellbeing facilities of most establishments are not accessible to children under 16 years old. Similarly, it is possible that some amenities or services require an additional charge or are unavailable for exceptional reasons.

Once your reservation has been made, you will receive a confirmation e-mail before your travel documents are sent.

In order to best organise your time in the airport, we advise that you arrive 2 hours before boarding for a medium-haul flight, or 3 hours before boarding for a long-haul flight (more than 5 hours). Take advantage of your early arrival to pass through security and check your luggage.

You will have the opportunity to add additional luggage for a fee.
There are several different cities that are typically offered as departure points. Your arrival destination will show in your travel documents.
Depending on the flight schedule, some arrivals or returns may be made at night with early arrival or late departure. You will not always be able to have your room available immediately and will need to refer to the check-in and check-out conditions of the hotel.
In the event that your transfer is not included in your hotel reservation, it may be offered at the time of your reservation as an additional option. Unless specifically mentioned, transfers may be made in groups of 15 to 55 people.
