In accordance with the latest regulations of the local government of Venice, from April 18 to July 27, 2025 - see specific dates below - entry to the city of Venice is subject to an access fee (contribution d'accès à Venise), unless the visitor falls into one of the categories entitling him or her to exemption from payment. The access fee is charged from 8.30am to 4pm. To benefit from the exemption, you must register and obtain the appropriate exemption voucher.
Exceptions :
1. Guests staying in accommodation in the city of Venice and paying the tourist tax are exempt from the Access Contribution but must still have a QR code indicating the stay.
2. Minors under the age of 14 are exempt from paying the Access Fee: to prove their age, if this is not obvious, the presentation of an identity document is accepted as sufficient proof.

1. Visit the official website Homepage | Contributo di Accesso (https://cda.ve.it/en/) , choose "Exemption request".
2. Select "I am a guest in an accommodation in Venice" and click on "Exemption request".
3. Enter your arrival and departure dates.
4. In the data entry screen, use the accommodation number and select the option as guest of this establishment.
5. Add the names of other guests under "Add guest".
6. You will receive your QR code electronically. Be sure to save a digital copy. Acquired vouchers must be kept in digital format, and if verified, must be presented to authorized personnel at the city's main access points
