Set on a stretch of pristine sand in Matemwe, Zanzibar, this boutique hotel invites you to relax in its custom-decorated and well-equipped rooms. The restaurant offers a breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean and offers fish and seafood just out of the sea. Relax by the swimming pool, on the beach with its facilities or in the spa, then explore the island and its waters by diving, hiking, kitesurfing or taking a boat ride.

Rooms

The 24 rooms of four-star AHG Dream's Bay Boutique Hotel combine a typical atmosphere with modern comfort. They are all equipped with a king-size bed with a large mosquito net, a fan, air-conditioning, a flat-screen television and a mini-bar.

Seafront room [35 M2]

Located in the building closest to the beach, this double room has a small terrace or balcony, a king-size bed and a large bathroom. It is also equipped with a kettle, hairdryer, flat-screen TV and safe.

Classic room [30 M2]

Classic rooms are located on the first floor and have private bathrooms, ceiling fans, air conditioning, mosquito nets, tea and coffee making sets, safes, hairdryers, minibars and satellite TV.

All have a lovely balcony and can accommodate up to 2 guests.

Restaurants & bars

The hotel's restaurant serves cuisine inspired by nature. Freshly caught fish and shellfish fill the plates, along with local fruit and vegetables. A fine selection of wines and spirits accompany meals. In the afternoon, have a drink on a deckchair by the pool.

Breakfast

Breakfast is included in the package. You can also opt for the half board option (two meals, drinks not included) or the full board option (three meals, drinks not included), which is available for an extra charge.

Restaurant

The restaurant concocts delicious recipes, combining land and sea. On the covered terrace, you will taste lobsters, fried squid, tropical fish, grilled foods, exotic salads and more. The full breakfast includes eggs and pancakes.

Beach Bar

Sip cocktails, wines, beers and refreshing drinks in the comfort of your Balinese bed. The hotel staff will be happy to serve you by the pool or on the white sandy beach.

Activities & lifestyle

Immerse yourself in the unique Zanzibar atmosphere of this hotel, which is nestled directly on the beach, with a swimming pool surrounded by deckchairs and a spa.

The spa staff offer treatments and massages with turquoise waters in the background. Relax and enjoy a quiet moment around the pool or on the sandy beach. Practical details

If you are travelling alone, you will be asked to pay a surcharge for a single room. This additional charge will be automatically included in your quote.
Child rates will be applied for children from 2 to 12 years old in the case where the child shares the room with two adults. If the child is travelling with just one adult, the surcharge may be applied on an adult basis. If your child or children do not fit into the age group mentioned above, the rate will be communicated to you at the time of processing your order. If the room is equipped with a bunk bed, the bed height is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
For safety reasons, the wellbeing facilities of most establishments are not accessible to children under 16 years old. Similarly, it is possible that some amenities or services require an additional charge or are unavailable for exceptional reasons.

Once your reservation has been made, you will receive a confirmation e-mail before your travel documents are sent.

Transportation

In order to best organise your time in the airport, we advise that you arrive 2 hours before boarding for a medium-haul flight, or 3 hours before boarding for a long-haul flight (more than 5 hours). Take advantage of your early arrival to pass through security and check your luggage.

You will have the opportunity to add additional luggage for a fee.
There are several different cities that are typically offered as departure points. Your arrival destination will show in your travel documents.
Depending on the flight schedule, some arrivals or returns may be made at night with early arrival or late departure. You will not always be able to have your room available immediately and will need to refer to the check-in and check-out conditions of the hotel.
In the event that your transfer is not included in your hotel reservation, it may be offered at the time of your reservation as an additional option. Unless specifically mentioned, transfers may be made in groups of 15 to 55 people.

Formalities

Please refer to the information below regarding travel formalities to Tanzania for Canadian citizens. Canadian passport holders are required to obtain a visa to enter Tanzania, including for tourism and short-term stays. Immigration matters are administered by the Tanzania Immigration Services Department, with official information available at https://www.immigration.go.tz/ (https://www.immigration.go.tz/). Canadian citizens may obtain a visa in advance through the official Tanzanian eVisa system or upon arrival (Visa on Arrival) at designated international entry points. A Canadian passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the intended date of departure from Tanzania and must contain at least one blank page for immigration stamps. Tourist visas issued to Canadian citizens generally allow a maximum stay of up to 90 days. Upon arrival, immigration authorities may require proof of onward or return travel, confirmed accommodation arrangements, and evidence of sufficient financial means to cover the duration of the stay. Travelers are strongly advised to hold comprehensive travel and health insurance valid for the entire visit.

From a health perspective, no vaccinations are mandatory for entry when traveling directly from Canada. However, a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required if arriving from, or transiting through, a country where yellow fever is endemic. Travelers should ensure routine vaccinations are up to date and seek medical advice prior to departure. Compliance with local laws, immigration regulations, and identity checks is mandatory throughout the stay, as Tanzanian authorities strictly enforce entry conditions and authorized lengths of stay.
