Your detailed itinerary

Upon arrival at Kansai International Airport (KIX), proceed to your hotel in Osaka by combining the JR Haruka Express, included in the JR Rail Pass, to the main JR stations in Osaka, then use the Osaka Metro and Bus Pass. Enjoy a free day to rest or explore the surroundings at your own pace.

After breakfast at the hotel, depart on the Shinkansen to Hiroshima with your JR Rail Pass (approximately 1.5 hours). Upon arrival, we suggest visiting iconic sites such as the Peace Memorial Park, its museum, and the Genbaku Dome, which are significant testimonies to the city's history. At the end of the day, check into the hotel for a free evening.

After breakfast, take an excursion to Miyajima. We suggest taking a JR train to Miyajimaguchi, followed by the JR ferry to the island. Once there, discover the Itsukushima Shrine and its famous floating torii, and if time permits, explore Mount Misen. Return to Hiroshima at the end of the day.

After breakfast, depart by Shinkansen for Himeji (approximately 1 hour) to visit its castle, a masterpiece of Japanese feudal architecture. Then, continue by Shinkansen to Kyoto (approximately 1 hour 30 minutes) and check in at the hotel.

After breakfast, enjoy a free day to explore the wonders of Kyoto. We suggest visiting the Kinkaku-ji, or Golden Pavilion, an iconic site covered in gold leaf, as well as the Ryoan-ji Zen temple, renowned for its fascinating dry garden. Continue your exploration in Arashiyama, where you can stroll through the enchanting bamboo grove and admire the view from the Togetsukyo Bridge.

After breakfast, continue your exploration of Kyoto. We suggest visiting the Fushimi Inari Taisha, famous for its thousands of red torii gates winding through the mountain. Next, discover Kiyomizu-dera, a perched temple offering a spectacular view over the city. End the day with a stroll through the historic district of Gion, where you can admire its traditional alleys and authentic tea houses.

After breakfast, depart by JR Thunderbird express train to Kanazawa (approximately 2.5 hours). Upon arrival, we suggest visiting Kenroku-en Garden, one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan, renowned for its beauty and harmony. Then, explore the historic Nagamachi district, a former samurai stronghold, where you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of feudal Japan.

After breakfast, continue your exploration of Kanazawa. We suggest visiting the Higashi Chaya geisha district where you can discover traditional tea houses. Follow this with a visit to the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, an innovative venue showcasing modern works. Conclude your day with a stop at the Omicho Market, ideal for sampling fresh seafood and experiencing the local hustle and bustle.

After breakfast, depart on the Shinkansen Kagayaki or Hakutaka for Tokyo (approximately 2.5 hours). Upon arrival, we suggest starting with a stroll through the lively district of Shibuya, famous for its bustling crossing, one of the busiest in the world. Next, explore the Harajuku area, known for its unique fashion trends and colourful shops. Don't miss a visit to the Meiji Jingu Shrine, a peaceful haven in the heart of the city, offering a calming contrast to the urban hustle and bustle.

After breakfast, set off to explore the must-see sights of Tokyo. We suggest starting with Asakusa and its Senso-ji Temple, an iconic place of Japanese tradition. Then, dive into the high-tech world of Akihabara, famous for its video game shops and pop culture. In the evening, head to Odaiba to enjoy a futuristic view of the city, with its modern skyscrapers and unique attractions.

After breakfast, the morning will be dedicated to visiting TeamLab Planets, a unique immersive experience. In the afternoon, explore the upscale district of Ginza for a shopping session or enjoy the tranquillity of Ueno Park to relax and discover its museums.

After breakfast, enjoy a day at your leisure. We suggest taking a trip to Kamakura or Nikko, both accessible with your JR Pass. Alternatively, explore the vibrant district of Shinjuku, where you can browse its shops or relax in the beautiful Shinjuku Gyoen garden.

After breakfast, transfer from the hotel to the airport with the Narita Express or Tokyo Monorail, included in your JR Rail Pass. Complete the journey with the Tokyo Metro Ticket, if necessary. Then, board your return flight from Narita or Haneda airport.
